Part of the Fireside Archive Collection, this original radio noir tale was written exclusively for Fireside Radio Theatre and was recorded in front of a live audience on April 8, 2016. Dirk Brannigan, a hardboiled private detective, takes on a case for blonde bombshell client Lottie Carlisle and soon finds himself up to his neck in graft, vice, murder, deceit and dirty cops. Set against a sweltering weekend in 1930s Chicago and featuring an original jazz score, this mystery crime drama pays loving homage to every trope of the noir genre.
